It is with tremendous sadness that the Uxbridge Bruins mourn the recent loss of our longtime club president Cam Stewart.
On the afternoon of Tuesday, June 4, Cam, passed away peacefully with his wife, Alice, and their family by his side. As those of you who encountered Cam over his many years of service to the Bruins organization will know, he was an extremely kind and generous man who dedicated much of his life to making his community, and the lives around him, better.
Cam absolutely loved the Bruins. Every Friday night you could find him out at the gate welcoming fans as they entered the Bear Den and being the steady presence that made sure everything was running smoothly. You could tell he felt so at home when he was in the rink, conversing with everyone, and feeling the excitement of a Friday night home game. Not only did he love his local community, Cam was always a fierce advocate for the PJHL (COJHL) and loved getting to work with his peers across the league to grow junior hockey in Ontario.
Cam will be deeply missed; by his family, by the Bruins organization, and by the entire community of Uxbridge. But we know his spirit, hard work, and legacy will live on through the years, and we will think of him often. Rest in peace Cam.
Visitation for Cam will be held at Low and Low Funeral Home in Uxbridge (23 Main St. South) on Sunday, June 9, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. His funeral will be held at Eastridge Missionary Church (12485 Tenth Line in Stouffville on Monday, June 10th at 11 a.m.
