A Saturday night setback in Little Britain evened the Orr Division semi-final series. But, the Uxbridge Bruins have rallied with two straight wins setting the stage for the biggest game of the season (so far) in Uxbridge at the Bear Den on Thursday, March 30th.
On Monday night at the Bear Den, the Bruins roared to an early lead and never looked back, downing the visiting Merchants by a final score of 5-3. Nic Colangelo, Quinn Meek (x2), Declan Meek, and Noah Button all scored for Uxbridge, while Noah Acciaccaferri turned aside 27 shots for the win.
The series shifted back to Little Britain on Wednesday, March 29th, and the Bruins battled to a hard-fought 2-1 victory to take a commanding three-games-to-one lead in the best-of-seven series. Quinn Meek netted both Uxbridge goals, and Acciaccaferri was electric between the pipes stopping 43 shots to earn back-to-back victories.
